弗雷德里克·怀斯曼生于1930年，在耶鲁大学获得法律学位，然后在巴黎做开业律师，以后又回到美国的大学教授法律。1967年放弃律师行当、开始拍摄了第一部纪录片《提提卡蠢事》(Titicul Follies)后，至今三十三年来，拍摄制作有三十余部纪录片，被尊称为美国60年代"直接电影”运动的主要人物。怀斯曼的作品总体风格是以美国的各种机构为题，沿着"用镜头解剖各种机构与人的方式并展示20世纪下半叶的美国综观”的纪录方式、"一条道走下去”。 怀斯曼从出生到现在，一直住在美国波士顿。。本片是50分（50 Cent）于2009年自己创立的Cheetah Vision电影制作公司的首部大制作，能邀请到布鲁斯.威利、瑞安.菲利浦等大牌出演，可能是50分主演的最主流的一部影片了。不过他在片中依然饰演一名罪犯，这是一部与抢劫有关的电影，与他以往众多形象极其类似。故事围绕一起钻石劫案后，罪犯们因为这次劫案引起了纷争。。This series is above the expectations they had about it.
