The plot introduces us to a psychologist who suggests to three couples that they engage in a group session, where they will have to analyse each other without her being present. In order to do so, she has left them a number of envelopes containing instructions on the things they have to address. The method she has proposed encourages everyone to share their opinions, argue with...。都内で、遺体に「X」の痕跡を遺す殺人事件が発生する。事件を担当するはずだった刑事・安堂源次（安田顕）は捜査から外された。かつて自身の妻が被害者となった連続殺人と同じ犯人の可能性が高いからだ。そこで捜査本部には内密に、天才科学者と云われる神保仁（田中圭）に捜査の協力を要請する。事件の解決に全く興味を示さない神保。何よりその奇想天外な行動と言動に源次は振り回される。しかし徐々に息の合い始める二人。そして二人の孤独なDNA捜査は、捜査本部も気づかなかった「ある痕跡」を見出す。そんな中、「殺人鬼X」による更なる殺人が起きてしまう…。。A journalist uncovers the story of a ruthless assassin when she investigates a government cover up。
