萧文、张平、常闯分到刑警队，队长潘荣亲自当他们的师傅。潘荣带他们处理的第一案子是绑架案，被绑架的是江洲宾馆公关部的女经理梅莉。萧文一枪解决绑架者。潘荣对萧文擅自开枪不满意，可圆满的结果还是令他对徒弟们刮目相看。
萧文该提升队长了，可主管的潘荣不同意，萧文去了行政科。行政工作萧文干得不错，可他总觉得不如刑警来劲，一气之下请求辞职。在冯局长和张平的支持下，萧文总算重回刑警队伍，可他已无任何官职，而且是去北海从事外围侦察工作，工作上心气不顺，弄得萧文和梅莉之间也出现了矛盾。。A man is falsely convicted of the murder of his wife. During his time in jail, he finds comfort from four women with whom he corresponds. After his second court appearance, he is finally freed from prison only to be framed for yet 2 more murders which he did not commit. With the help of his former prison guard, he once again sets out to clear his name.。
