上个世纪三、四十年代，一个在苏联莫斯科搜集新闻的美国记者，无奈被迫下要帮助一个美丽的共产党女人离开这个国家……。故事发生在1928年的北京，青年学生樊家树（胡兵 饰）在一场意外之中结识了千金小姐何丽娜（袁立 饰），樊家树不喜欢何丽娜身上那种飞扬跋扈的戾气，对她态度冷淡。倒是旅长沈国英对何丽娜一往情深。
一次偶然中，樊家树结识了名为沈凤喜（袁立 饰）的女子，沈凤喜温婉而又聪慧，很快就吸引了樊家树的注意，随着时间的推移，两人渐渐走到了一起。那边厢，何丽娜一直对樊家树念念不忘，他越是远离何丽娜，何丽娜就越是被其吸引。当得知了樊家树对自己的成见后，何丽娜开始反思和改变，然而樊家树的心中依然只有沈凤喜。不幸的是，军阀刘德柱（傅彪 饰）看上了沈凤喜，不惜一切手段将她弄到手，为了保全樊家树，沈凤喜只能忍痛就范。。In this '60s retro prequel to the bizarro-noir Bloodsucker's Handbook (AKA Enchiridion), Bloodsucker's Planet follows the crew of the space ship Argosy as they respond to a distress signal from the industrial Planet Mara only to discover the planet is ruled by the sinister Mother Vampire.
