本剧改编自冲田×华同名漫画，以临终关怀疗养医院为舞台，通过余命不久、老年痴呆症等日常生活存在困难的人的故事探讨“迎接死亡”和“活着”的意义。岸井雪乃饰演护士边见步，松山研一饰演医生广野诚二。。Inspired by W.G. Sebald’s book and based on WWII archive footage, the film puts forward the question: is it morally acceptable to use civilian population as a means of war? Is it possible to justify mass destruction for the sake of higher “moral” ideals?
