高纯（侣皓喆饰）由母亲带大，自幼酷爱舞蹈，母亲不幸过世后，因生计所迫，舞校毕业的高纯开起了出租车，但他心中的梦想并未破灭。一天，他偶遇到云朗歌舞团的演员金葵（章龄之饰），她跳的一段《冰火之恋》猛烈地撞击着高纯的心，但金葵不幸的遭遇也让高纯揪心，她是因躲避父亲因生意亏损让她牺牲色相接近台湾商人而逃出来的。一场车祸夺走了高纯父亲朋友蒋先生的命，高纯与金葵因下车买东西幸免于难，漂在北京的俩人尽管生活艰辛，但爱的力量一支在支撑着他们。后来高纯结识了女画家周欣（宋雯菲饰），不幸被他人重伤致残，又一段离奇的故事开始了......。Birds of paradise are one of David Attenborough's lifelong passions.
