Wolfgang, a ten-year-old boy with an IQ of 152 and autism spectrum disorder, is forced to live with his father Carles, whom he has never seen, after the sudden death of his mother.。所谓的“除妖”，即是把由于某些缘由而从原本应在的“隐世”来到“现世”停留的妖怪们送回“隐世”这一工作。某天，被妖怪附体的高中生·芦屋花绘，依靠偶然发现的联络方式，来到了专门除妖的物怪庵，在那里的是一脸不高兴的店主安倍晴斋。由于某些缘故，芦屋就这样以物怪庵奉公人的身份开始工作……安倍与芦屋的除妖组合和妖怪们的物语就此开幕。。
