家具メーカーで働く傍ら趣味で、雑誌「旅と鉄道」で小さな連載をしている道子は、編集長から「西武秩父線55周年」の特集ページを頼まれる。優雅なシートと大きな窓を備えた「特急ラビュー」と地元を走るベテラン列車「4000系」を乗り継ぎ、秩父の青い森を抜けていく。そこには、「ここどこだよ…」と、つい呟きたくなる静かに佇む「ローカル駅」と地元のグルメ、旅の出会いが…。果たして今回の旅で道子は何と出会い、何を思うのか…。。Edwin Antony (Hywel Bennett) is emasculated in an accident which kills a young philanderer.
