德川幕府时代，会津藩马回队武士笹原伊三郎（三船敏郎 饰）剑术高超，为人则恪守职责，忍辱负重。某日，藩主松平政容（松村达雄 饰）将爱妾阿市（司叶子 饰）以大不敬的罪名赶出藩邸，并命其下嫁伊三郎的长子与五郎（加藤刚 饰）。迫于对藩主的忠诚，笹原家最终接受了这门婚事。婚后与五郎和阿市相亲相爱，婚姻美满。
然事情突然发生变化，阿市于城中生养的儿子成为藩主继承人，为免有失体统，藩主欲将阿市召回。不满藩主的出尔反尔，伊三郎强硬拒绝了来使的无理要求。双方剑拔弩张，伊三郎和与五郎不惜以鲜血维护武士不可侵犯的荣誉……

Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. He has decided to leave, but a snow avalanche is crushed in the mountains, making it impossible for him to leave. Soon, inspector has found a body of a dead lodger. This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。卫芬青（邵雨薇饰）经营着一个夜市摊子，从未学习过任何专业的烹饪知识的她，仅凭着自己的味觉天赋，创作出了咖哩虾一口堡这道菜，并且凭借着这道征服了无数食客味蕾的菜肴成为了称霸夜市摊的女王。 霍廷恩（吴慷仁饰）出生于烹饪世家之中，自幼就在专业的烹饪学校中学习，学成之后开始经营一家高档法式餐厅，主打咖哩龙虾，餐厅生意爆红需要提前几个月预约才有位置。一天，霍廷恩在网络上看到有人将卫芬青的咖喱虾一口堡称作是自己的咖喱龙虾的平替，充满了好奇和不屑的他决定亲自尝一尝卫芬青的手艺。就这样，两个风马牛不相及，但同样对美食充满了热爱的人相识了。。
