影片是一部尖锐的反体制喜剧，聚焦北爱尔兰说唱组合Kneecap。以Mo Chara、Móglaí Bap和DJ Próvaí组成的真实说唱组合Kneecap为主角，他们以爱尔兰盖尔语的说唱闻名，其国家主义作品常涉及北爱尔兰问题。2019年，他们因为在一家英国威廉王子及凯特王妃早先去过的酒吧里大喊“把英国人赶出去（Get the Brits out now）”而被谴责。。Subjects of Desire is a thought provoking film that examines the cultural shift in beauty standards towards embracing (or appropriating) Black aesthetics and features, deconstructing what we understand about race and the power behind beauty.。本片是成龙《蛇形刁手》的跟风作，剧情结构与《蛇形刁手》相似，不过远不及后者。但正是有着像《猴形扣手》这类片子的推波助澜，香港才有了谐趣功夫片的高潮迭起。论坛发过本片的英文版，现将国语版拿出分享，相信喜欢功夫片的朋友一定不愿错过。。
