故事开始于1937年的北平，纷飞的战火之中，童话和古城出生了。童话是自小被养在深闺之中的王府大小姐，不知道一墙之隔的外部世界正在发生怎样翻天覆地的变化。古城则早早失去了父母，独自伶仃飘摇，历尽人情冷暖，是个彻头彻尾的野孩子。
命运让童话和古城相遇了，两人虽然个性迥异，但却相互吸引。古城父母的革命战友洛秋找到了古城，收养了他，古城开始和洛秋的儿子洛栓子生活在同一屋檐下。之后，洛秋将古城送进了学校，在学校里，古城结交了王小勇，巧合的是，王小勇的父母和古城的父母，亦是旧相识。。Weapons of Death is not the most original Polizi flick you're ever likely to see, but that's not too much of a problem since the genre tends to borrow from itself often anyway.
