一个为女性经营公寓的房子的男人是一个纳粹外科医生的精神失调的儿子，他的房子配备了秘密通道、隐藏的房间以及酷刑和谋杀装置。。在同一幢商厦中，九楼与十九楼分别为两家互相竞争的广告公司。一日，九楼的一位老客户咬着半支雪茄踏进此商厦却误到十九楼签下合约。突然此老翁心脏病发暴毙。十九楼的雇员欲嫁祸九楼把尸首搬到九楼，九楼各人原应与老翁签约，见到老翁开心不已。但当发现其已死后，想将尸首搬上十九楼。加上两名笨贼加入此混局，弄得大家忙得不可开交。。The Once-Lers are told by the owner that they can sit on the wagon and that it had better not move.
